LAPA’s Employment Law Section Presents:

California Discrimination Updates Mid-Year 2017: Do's & Don'ts

California is one of the nation’s leaders when it comes to protecting the rights of employees and employers alike.  With discrimination lawsuits on the rise and the ever-evolving discussion of who qualifies for protection in the workplace, California continues to reshape its laws to keep up with its citizens' needs.  This seminar reviews significant updates and proposed revisions to California’s discrimination and employee protection laws, and offers guidance on how employers and employees should conduct themselves accordingly.

SPEAKER:  Joshua D. Schein earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley, and his Juris Doctorate from the UCLA School of Law. He began his career with the New York office of Latham & Watkins. After leaving Latham & Watkins, Mr. Schein joined the Los Angeles litigation department of Glaser Weil where he handled high-end business and entertainment litigation. Mr. Schein joined Rosen Saba, LLP, in 2014 and represents a wide range of clients from large corporate entities to individuals in business, entertainment, employment, and consumer litigation. Mr. Schein is admitted to practice law in California and New York.
