Presented by Saminh Greenberg, Esq.
Supervising Attorney
Neighborhood Justice Program

Saminh started her legal career in 2005 as a Deputy District Attorney in Tulare County prosecuting misdemeanors and felonies. She moved back to her hometown in Los Angeles in 2007 and worked at the Children's Law Center as a Dependency Attorney representing foster care children who have been abused, neglected, or abandoned. Saminh later transitioned back into criminal law in 2010 and became a Deputy City Prosecutor in Pasadena, where she later promoted to an Assistant City Prosecutor and was also the Community Prosecutor for the entire city. She was involved with many innovative programs promoting quality of life and public safety, along with developing a pilot diversion program with a non-profit agency to help the formerly incarcerated population reintegrate back into the community by providing job training, placement and other comprehensive services.  In 2018, she joined the LA City Attorney's office and worked under the Recidivism Reduction & Drug Diversion Unit, primarily assisting in the development and operations of a grant program geared towards improving engagement and decreasing recidivism with individuals who were justice-involved with a substance use and/or a mental health issue. In mid 2019, she advanced into the position of the Supervising Attorney for the Neighborhood Justice Program.
