Presented by Lucy Varpetian

Lucy Varpetian is a Principal Assistant City Attorney in the Glendale City Attorney’s Office – Transactional Section, primarily advising the Fire Department, the Department of Information Services, the Office of the City Clerk, including handling of public records requests, Human Resources and the Finance Department. She has extensive experience in all aspects of city government including advising the Civil Service Commission, the Commission on the Status of Women, and the Interagency Communications Interoperability Systems Joint Powers Authority (ICI System JPA). She oversees the City’s legal externship program. Prior to joining the City of Glendale, Ms. Varpetian was an associate at Meserve, Mumper and Hughes, LLP.


Ms. Varpetian is the Chairperson of the Armenian Bar Association, where she has been a member since she was a law student. She also serves on the Boards of the Glendale YMCA and on the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Judicial Election Evaluation Committee. She is a graduate of Southwestern University School of Law and the University of Southern California.
