This presentation will delve into the legal implications and complications of artificial intelligence, discussing intellectual property complications, treatment of data and privacy issues, contract complications, sources of liability, and novel types of disputes. Specifically, as the real-world begins to make greater use of this technology, we explore what are the ramifications in responsibility, liability, and more that we should be thinking about, both as producers and users of these new technologies.

Salehpour is Managing Attorney of Salehpour Legal, a law firm specializing in assisting startups and established businesses in negotiating and best structuring their contracts and tech transactions and counseling them on issues involved with product and product feature launches, intellectual property licensing and protection, open source issues, data and privacy rights, and use of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence. She has represented clients across the nation ranging from entrepreneurs and small businesses to Fortune 500 companies and works in a variety of industries, including all sorts of technology such as SaaS, software, digital health, AI, and biotech among others.
